Gig on the Green is a series of free concerts held on the green during the summer months. They are impromptu and often arranged at short notice, usually on a Sunday. We keep an eye on the weather forecast and we are always looking to attract local bands, individual musicians, choirs; in fact any experienced or aspiring musician who would like to give it a go.
This is an event for the locals. Silloth people work hard all year, year on year to raise funds and develop and improve the Christmas lights. We have lots of fun at the switch on ceremony and the people of Silloth are happy for visitors to join them to celebrate the start of the festive season.
